Questions people ask
Can I print UPC barcodes?
Not yet. The designer prints EAN-13, which US checkout scanners also read, plus Code 128 for your own SKUs and QR codes. If a retailer asks you for UPC-A specifically, check with them before you print.
Can I print in color?
No: thermal label printers print black only. For color, buy colored label rolls. Black on a colored label looks sharp and costs very little.
What sizes work for price tags?
2 × 1 inches suits most products. 1½ × 1 inches and 2¼ × ¾ inches are good for small items, and 2¼ × ½ inches for jewelry.
Can I use it at a farmers market or craft fair?
Yes. Print your labels before the market, on any Mac, Windows or Linux computer with the printer plugged in.
