Any Zebra label printer with a USB cable or on your Wi-Fi. If you're buying one, the ZD220 costs less than most inkjet printers and never needs ink.

Install the little helper
One download for Mac, Windows or Linux. It sits quietly in the corner and lets your browser talk to the printer. That's its whole job.

Design it, or upload it, then print
Open the app in your browser. Start from a template or drop in a PDF label. What you see on screen is exactly what comes out.

eBay, Royal Mail, Evri, Amazon, Etsy — they all give you a PDF. Drop it into the app and it prints at exactly the right size on your label, with the extra page of instructions trimmed off. No more printing on A4 and cutting round it with scissors.

These printers use heat on special paper, so they print in black only. Want colour? Buy a coloured roll of labels — the print is still black, the paper does the rest.

Questions people ask before they start
Do I need to buy ink or toner?
No. Zebra label printers are thermal — they print with heat on special label paper. You only ever buy rolls of labels.
Will it work on my computer?
Yes, if it runs Mac, Windows or Linux and has a web browser. The designer runs in the browser; the helper app is a small download for whichever of those you have.
I'm not technical. Is this going to be hard?
It shouldn't be. Plug the printer in, install the helper, open the app. The first time you print, the app walks you through it with pictures.
What happens after the free 30 days?
You can keep designing for free forever. To keep printing, it's $10 a month per computer. If you stop, nothing is deleted — your labels are still there when you come back.
Which printer should I buy?
For most people at home, a Zebra ZD220 or ZD230 with 4×6 inch labels. They're cheap to run, take ordinary label rolls and are the ones we test on every day.
Is my information safe?
Your labels and account details are stored in your account, on servers in the UK, so you can get them back on any computer. We don't sell or share your details, and we don't use your labels for anything but printing them.
